An intellect student from Semarang was on flight to Jakarta.
A middle aged woman sat beside him.
He greeted the woman, and then they had a light chit-chat.
He asked to the woman, "Why do you go to Jakarta, Mam?"
She answered kindly , "Oh, I have connecting flight from Jakarta to Singapore, visit my second son there."
"Waw, your son is encouraging."
He thought deeply for a moment.

Because he was too curious with that woman's son, he continued to ask.
"Your second son in Singapore, does he has brothers? How 'bout them?"
"Uh.. My third child is a doctor in Malang.
The fourth is horticulturist in Lampung.
The fifth is an architect in Jakarta.
The sixth is a branch manager at a bank in Solo.
The seventh is a lecturer in Semarang."

He was so startled and amazed. "This woman is so extravagant. She brought up her second children until the seventh well."

"And how about your first child, Mam?"
She breathed deeply and smiled "My first son is a farmer in Jogja. His rice field isn't large."
"Mam, I am really sorry. Maybe you're feeling not good because your seven children are highly educated and having great jobs, but your first son's just a farmer." He immediately asked for apologize.

With wide smile, she answered.
"Ha ha. Not like that. I exactly proud of my first son the most. Because he is the one who has financed his seven little brothers' study, with his farming profit."

Lima Langkah Detoksifikasi Pikiran

Gaya hidup modern yang sarat dengan kecanggihan teknologi, makin banyaknya tuntutan sosial, persaingan, dan sebagainya membuat pikiran merasa penuh dengan beban. Seringkali menjadi stres, kebingungan, dan berprasangka negatif pada orang lain, situasi, kejadian, maupun diri sendiri.

Ingin rasanya kalau bisa melepas otak yang penuh beban ini dari tengkoraknya kemudian dicuci sampai bersih supaya kotoran - kotoran negatif itu hilang. LOL. Pasti nggak mungkin.

Saya membaca sebuah buku bagus yang mengajarkan salah satu cara untuk menenangkan pikiran dan membangun pikiran konstruktif, bukan sebaliknya yaitu destruktif. Katanya ada lima langkah mendetoksifikasi pikiran, antara lain :

1. Memahami keinginan pribadi (memperjelas visi tentang cita - cita. proses yang harus dilakukan dengan membebaskan diri dari kritikus dalam diri)
2. Membuat rencana (mengamati kehidupan secara obyektif tanpa prasangka dan penilaian yang berlebihan. membuat daftar hal-hal yg ingin dimiliki, dilakukan, atau dicapai. menyusun prioritas. menentukan arah dan tujuan)
3. Melakukan pengelolaan energi 
4. Segera bertindak
5. Hilangkan kekhawatiran 

wow, itu semua yang selalu dikatakan oleh tante, om, bapak, dan ibu saya. Mereka adalah sumber inspirasi saya. Sosok orang - orang yang sukses. Hmm. I must do it now :-)
